Your duty of disclosure

You can only obtain Brightside Accidental Damage Cover at the time you purchase your device.

Your cover commences 14 days after the purchase date shown on your invoice. You have a 14 day cooling off period over those 14 days as well.

Accidental Damage Cover is only available on selected devices. It covers you for accidental damage to your device during the policy period, subject to a number of exclusions and limitations. Please consider the Policy Wording* to see if this cover is right for you.

Insurer Financial Strength Rating

Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Act 2010 – Brightsideco Insurance Limited has an B (Fair) insurer financial strength rating given by A.M. Best Asia-Pacific (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.

The rating scale in summary form is:

  • A+ Superior
  • A Excellent
  • B+ Good
  • B Fair
  • C+ Marginal
  • C Weak
  • D Poor

Each Best’s Financial Strength Category from “A+” to “C” includes a Rating Notch to reflect a gradation of financial strength within the category. A rating Notch is expressed with either a second “+” or a minus “-“. A full description of the rating scale is available on AM Best’s website.
